Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. 1YOE medical device NPI Lead looking for salary perspective

Mechanical engineering grad, joined a medical device startup that I had done co-ops at. 8mo into full-time, pivoted from engineering into more of an operations role doing new product introduction (NPI), now with 3 direct reports.

The combination of startup+medical device+NPI seems very unique and I'm struggling to find salary comparables. Currently making 75k but it feels very low given my new responsibility and impact. Any advice?

My agency doesn’t submit for awards, and I’m not saying I’d win if they did. But as much as we say awards don’t matter, it feels like they do at a lot of places I’d like to eventually work. How do MBAs feel about doing one year consulting then a year in industry strategy analyst role vs 2 years consulting?

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Went to a severe non-target for undergrad. Most of my colleagues have 3 degrees from elite institutions. Is it worth it to get an MBA from H/S/W for some added credibility? McK will likely pay but $350K in forgone salary seems enormous. 740 GMAT
