I have a full-time offer from a strategy consulting (not MBB) in a different city than where I live. I really want to stay where I am currently living while doing strategy work and the only firm here is McKinsey. Went through recruit in September and didn’t get an offer but I heard they are currently on a hiring spree. I was wondering if I should apply again and if I should, would someone be willing to chat and send a referral for me?

I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. The recruiter said they'd be making an offer but it's now been three weeks. Anyone else had the process drag on like this? Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

I have two job offers, one offers a salary of 61.5k and the other job offers an hourly rate of $27.65 with $41.48 for OT, as well as Sales Incentive Compensation Plan where the annual target incentive compensation is 42.86%. In other words, I could potentially receive quarterly bonuses that add up to around $24,650. However, that bonus isn’t guaranteed according to the offer letter and is contingent on my and my clients performance. Should I take the first job or second job?
