I have a concern...most likely a moral one. I work in a small tech company. Some Developers have reached out to HR regarding other companies offering them double or more of their current Salary. Our HR has extenden counter offers to these developers and also an "Adendum" to their contract where they are now bound to the company for one year and have to provide 90 days notice. Never the less, the company is añso looking for their replacements. Is this a comun practice?

Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?

What job title would you use for someone who is responsible for assessing current skills gaps in the enterprise, leveraging talent marketplace and AI to identify the current skills of the workforce, and support strategic initiatives surrounding talent planning/forecasting? Something that wouldn’t include Talent Management or Workforce Planning in the title.

Am I being paid competitively? I have been the Onboarding Sup for my HR dept for over a year now and I’m being paid the state min for salary, which for CA is 62,400. I have not gotten a merit raise since the last 2 January’s, the state raises the threshold for salary folks. My company says that was my raise. Is this right? I bring a background from the clinical operations of my company, scheduling, field work, and what the average employee faces. I want to look else where but I’m not sure.

Would love to hear how many monitors everyone’s at-home office features. My colleagues think I’m crazy for working off of a single monitor plus my laptop screen.

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.

Help. I have not dealt with an anti-trans employee before and I need help with approach. This employee compared a mental illness with being transgender, and referred to someone trans as "he/she/it" at least once. I currently work as a Sales Specialist for a Fortune 500. My responsibility is indirect management of sales rep effectiveness/readiness for a specific product category. Throughout my career I have experience direct selling, coaching reps, sales training, strategic management of a product category, cross department partnerships. I’m looking to further expand my career into Leadership.

What are my options?

Anybody out here know of any “development programs” for mid career professionals looking to transition to sales? Have a data/analytics b/g., but I’m much more social than a “typical” data/analytics person. We have a program at my company that I’m networking to get into, but believe it’s prudent to diversify options, as there is obviously no guarantee that they select me for the program.

I actually think this could be a whole separate class for students of all ages. Learning about conflict resolution, growing your own self-regulation skills...it's really important.

Hey fellow attorneys! I am a second year attorney who has recently accepted a job within a firm that I am absolutely ecstatic about. However, my first year of practice was highly supervised and I was given no cases of my own (Always worked the cases with major supervision and micromanaging by partners in my previous firm). I am worried about being able to do solo cases individually and whether I know enough to be in charge of cases. Anyone else experienced this? Or have any advice? Thank you!
