So I’m trying to move into a TA manager role and having zero luck trying to get an interview with any company I apply. I have 11 years in Recruiting, 2 of which was managing a team of Recruiters at a large national staffing company. It seems impossible to make the move up. Anyone who has made that move, while switching companies, have any suggestions?

I have been a little all over the place with what I wanted to do, but for last few years I have been learning digital marketing and I had knowledge of SQL in my academic years. However, I think I exaggerate my exprience because I desperately need a job. I have the knowledge and started saying that to companies, it didn't move forward after the recruiters interview. I’m interviewing for a an EA role to CEO, who is also interviewing for a chief of staff. CEO has alluded to me being a great CoS based on recent exp, and longer term COO and has asked if I’m going to find the EA role limiting. Do I address my interest in the CoS role, plus gaps in my experience or do I focus on the EA role and finding opps to add value outside of EA responsibilities without stepping on the CoS toes? I really want to work for this CEO & don’t want to talk myself out of the EA job

Has anyone partially funded college for their children with Roth IRA withdrawals? I think withdrawals for education expenses are not subject to penalties for early withdrawal. Did your children get "penalized" when applying for scholarships because their parents had Roth IRAs to fund some college expenses? Considering routing 529 contributions to a Roth IRA. If my children don't go to college, at least I have more retirement savings.

Feeling really frustrated and don’t know what to do. Interviewed early March, informed that I moved onto second rounds after ~2 weeks. Was told there would final rounds in late April but they never took place and haven’t scheduled it still.

I have gotten to 4 straight final rounds (4-5 interviews and a presentation for each company) to be told I’m second choice in favor of someone with more experience. Going to have my first clinical interview for urgent care ... what should I expect ??

So just had my first Amazon interview interaction the other day and its BS. I got invited to take part in the interview process by first answering a bunch of situational/case study like problems and then had to complete this long work style assessment after which they requested a call/interview only to find out the comp for the role is way below my target. Why would you make people waste so much time on your stupid assessments before asking expected salary range?!

Some advice from a regular remote interviewer - If you feel you can justify/maximise your value to a company above the current salary band, apply for the role, impress the heck out of the panel and push for that higher salary. You'll be surprised how open this conversation can be.

Company's have budgets in place for recruitment. Therefore, adjustments can be made to other open/upcoming roles marginally to facilitate recruiting your higher salary request.

Hi posting for a friend… was invited to final round interview two weeks ago, and recruiter never responded to email providing interview availability. Sent two follow-up emails providing additional dates (since initial dates passed). At what point is it appropriate to reach out again? Or just assume the position is no longer open?

I could use some perspective from my fellow 🐠: had an interview with a Deputy GC a little over 2 weeks ago. They said at the end of the interview that they were going on vacation so it might take a little longer than usual to hear back. They did not provide a timeline for next steps otherwise.
