I have a medical condition that can affect my work, not life threatening, but can delay my work at times. Should I speak to a partner or HR about it? (If timing become an issue)

Same here but I don't see how this could benefit you. If you need to rely on a medical issue to justify lower performance, you make yourself stand out more. If you are a very high performer but occasionally habe periods of lower performance, perhaps tell them.

Sooner rather than later. Document the discussion in writing via email afterwards. As we discussed today…etc. This protects you later. If they try to force you out after this discussion you may have a claim. At minimum it would make them delay any adverse action. If they do terminate you there is a short window of time to file claim depending on state law.

If you say nothing now and try to raise it later it looks like you are claiming it only because of their action.

The point is protect yourself now

I work in healthcare administration but was a medic for years. Tempted by FCB for those reasons, but value work/life balance.

It’s hard to trust the partners/leadership when they want us to return to office as being better when we increase offshoring? Also, the pressure on billable hours when all that really matters is how much our fixed labor costs vs. how much we can bill (which is usually fixed fee or at least a range) and the fixed labor costs of offshoring is significantly cheaper so the hours don’t matter. Am I mistaken by this viewpoint?

It’s been more than 10 days and multiple follow ups but still no response. I don’t think I was rude while talking to the HR, I just told my current salary and asked for min. that no. Did i miss the chance ?

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?
