I usually get, "oh, so your any accountant?" 😐
Well. Unimpressed is a standard reaction for KPMG
My BF knew about Deloitte and had never heard of McKinsey when we started dating. Knew he was the one then. ❤️😍
SA1 = 👹⚪⚪⚪⚪
Sa1 unless you're in MBB, I wouldn't be impressed by your background either.
It may be impressive for young grad but not for truly experienced. Big 4 seems comparable to communism for the ones in the know... few at the top with power, $, and license to behave as they wish while the work force has no recourse when treated unfairly or targeted. If workforce speaks up and challenge the status quo, they shove you out the door
Don't know if we can safely say it's not hard to get into, considering we already work here. I have a lot of friends trying to break into B4 consulting with no luck because they want previous experience for rehires. Also not a lot of other career tracks place you at 100k+ all in within two years of college
He's trolling dude, come on
Most savvy customers are well aware Big 4 are factory of recent grads sprinkled with some mid-level management with some industry and discipline experience placed to teach in the job. They know they're paying for 3 consultants for work that can be done sufficiently by 1 when it comes to big consulting firms. They sign on for whatever reason but they're also looking to get their agenda accomplished via scope creeps knowing full well many account leads are desperate to demonstrate the sponsor liked them and willing to entertain contract extensions.
@sa1 is salty and can't reveal his or her firm. Classic
Don't get me wrong I like my job. I just never understood why people think it's impressive. The big4 isn't that hard to get into in my opinion
@ KPMG OP : I was a partner at KPMG before my MBB 'lateral move'
SA1- what?
Uhh EY1, sounds like all Consulting? Truly experienced is a misnomer; with only industry experience you have maybe half the skill set needed to survive. Client service is different from most day to day work
That's perfect EY. 20 years experience in industry could make you a Director or SM here. 20 years in Consulting directly would make you a PPMD
*an
lol I do too dd1
I'm calling bs on the lateral move to MBB
And I'm a little surprised that a former "Kpmg partner" would insult the very company that helped them succeed.
I figured
