Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

Every market has its own nuances, but on the whole
* very entrepreneurial and “choose your own adventure” career progression. No up or out, no real “paths” or cohorts. Some people stay a “consultant” for 20 years, some work up to MD within 10.
* WLB depends on your client still, but no flying unless you’re cross-market, so most nights you’re home for dinner. We care a lot about our people and their personal lives
* Salary lags competition, primarily because of the above 2 points. We don’t formally have “bands.” In general expect the offer to be below B4/similar in pure $$. We get a lot of ex-Accenture, Deloitte, EY SMs that want to get off the road and start a family
I would agree with most of the above with one clarification. Your initial base salary will most likely be competitive. (I got about a 20% bump when I joined.) However, because you won't be getting regular promotions (no up or out), you will just get regular COLA raises around 2-3% per year. Even our merit raises typically don't get above 5%.
So, your salary level will eventually degrade over time.
