I have an individual that is an informal coachee that I think has a really bad coach. The coach doesn’t seem to know what the individual is working on nor do they reach out to people for feedback (a few of us talked to confirm this). I want to discuss with this person about getting a new coach (to which I’m happy to be or happy to recommend them to someone else). I feel like I have a really good relationship with the person, is it just fine to say let’s get you a new coach? More in comments.

1) Let’s say you’re a recent undergrad candidate with no internships on your resume. What’s the deciding factor that you’re qualified for Advisory vs Tax vs Audit? Is it school, gpa, etc.?

2) Why can’t you switch from Tax to another SL without having to pull strings? I understand that there’s a difference in tax vs book experience but why does the Accounting field gatekeep other SLs? It’s not like we’re incapable of learning other areas.

Just over 6 years in B4 financial services tax in PNW area. Mostly doing compliance work pumping out K1s and returns. Just got an industry offer at 155k 15% bonus and 100k equity (4year vesting).
