How do you get into media buying without experience? Actively looking for a junior media buying position. I've had several final interviews but no luck yet-super competitive!

I just finished what I thought was the final round of interviews for a job that I really want. Everything has been going extremely well. The recruiter just called to tell me that they want me to do one more round, though. This will make 8 interviews total, including a full case study presentation to 4 people. Should I be worried? Is this a red flag?

Is it just me or is the Google hiring process really slow? I finished my final interview on December 5th…..got team matched on Jan 6th and the recruiter is still waiting for HC decision. He doesn’t respond to emails till I follow up thrice and provides no context on what the hold up is, any thoughts? Is this expected or am I stuck with a not so seasoned recruiter (FWIW he’s relatively new ~8 months in)

Last Wednesday 8/3, I had my final interview with oracle. They are hiring 2 people for role and the hiring manager stated she had more interviews next week and was looking to make a decision by the end of the next week but didn’t specify I’d hear back at the end of next week. It’s now Friday 8/12, is it okay to reach out to the recruiter today for follow up or should I wait until Monday?

Dear Peanut paying companies (TCS especially), don’t you have some basic manner in valuing the precious time of Candidates? When you’re scheduling interviews, you asked about the current salary and expectation. Even though knowing the peanut you’re going to offer is way below Candidate’s current salary, why are you still processing for further interviews? Don’t you ashamed of yourself calling as a Recruiter? These are basic manners/commonsense, which you guys are unaware of!!!

PSA: I had a horrible experience applying for a job at Devoted Health. Applied online and then got asked to schedule a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I waited 20 min and nothing happened. I emailed the HR rep, he didn’t acknowledge or apologize and just told me to reschedule so I did. I even sent a separate email to confirm the second phone call. Second day of the interview, same thing, no show. I sent an email letting him know that my time is not being valued. (Cont’d)

A spin on the whole “how much should we tip” question. Could someone please explain why the super should be tipped the most? I live in a doorman building and the doormen and porters do a lot for us however, I barely ever talk to the super. If I have a maintenance request, the doorman tells the maintenance staff and the repairmen come. The most the super does is say hi to me in the hallway.

Three months into litigation, working at a mid-size firm in three different practice groups under four different partners. I’ve botched two drafting assignments in a row for one of the partners. Is there a commonly accepted practice for discussing referrals of potential class actions with other firms? I’m currently in the Workers’s comp defense department at a medium-large firm (just over 100 attorneys with five offices), which has a full General Liability department that practices med mal, pi, premises liability etc. But I’m worried that I’ll be pigeonholed and unable to do another area of ID like med mal which really interests me. Should I consider leaving if I don’t think I want to do WC forever? Been here for just a couple months so far.

Lateraled from firm doing some litigation some transactional/advisory to pure litigation firm in same industry. Caseload from old firm to new firm nearly tripled and feeling run out with all the deadlines and getting “big dogged” by counsel. Partner is too busy and generally give me one set of redlines before filing.

About 6 months in as an associate in primarily commercial litigation. Have a feel for billable time on some matters, but certain types of motions or discovery requests I have almost no clue the “expected” time for something to be billed. Sometimes the partner will tell me an estimated time, but often they won’t. Is there a “cheat sheet” of sorts anyone has in terms of common billing times?
