So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I'm not in it, but I just wrapped up an org design project. Unless you're super passionate about it, I wouldn't recommend. I got pretty bored. Although it was a nice learning experience if I become a high level exec someday
At A1 - can you tell me what sort of projects you did (or just in general what sort of projects are Org Design projects)? I've never done this type of work before so I'm curious. Thanks!
It is a pretty important area for us in Human Capital at Deloitte. It is not a specific group though--you can still do other projects across OT&T (e.g., strategic change, tech adoption, culture, talent strategy). Very common on M&A engagements and operating model transformations.
@D1 - is human capital separate from S&O? What sort of specific skill sets are needed for this role? Do these roles tend to be pigeonholed?
Org design can be a variety of things but tends to focus on restructuring organizations to streamline, efficiencies, layoffs, etc. it also will touch on talent retention strategies
