Rising Star
Turns out we’re a year into a pandemic and most everybody is depressed or anxious or exhausted all the time.
Ew. I can tell you haven’t been interviewing enough to understand and acknowledge the climate we’re in right now. And it shows.
Maybe you aren’t that interesting as a candidate so interviewers don’t take you seriously 🤷🏼♀️
*mic drops*
Try putting yourself in the interviewers’ shoes.
You are likely one of a few people they have interviewed for this role. In some cases they aren’t even the hiring manager, they are asked to interview you for culture fit or to work with people on their teams.
If they are the hiring manager, they’re filling a role on their team which means they and the other people in that dept are probably overworked (worse than normal.)
None of that is an excuse for bad manners such as being late, or HR not confirming with people that they are available which has happened to me as a candidate. But don’t assume that people are going to come in with a detailed list of questions. Sometimes they just want to feel you out.

No way. How are overclocked disorganized interviewers going to do a good job advocating for the interviewee OR the account?
Anybody put in an interview room should be trained in the legal stuff you can/can’t say, and how to prepare to interview for the specific objective they’ve been brought in to investigate
I know agencies don’t always make the time to do this. I ran a hell of a lot of interviews as a jr that I shouldn’t have. It’s unacceptable
Part of *your* prep should be figuring out how to sell yourself to someone who’s pressed for time and may not have received much context on you. Which is most of us. Yes the way hiring is done now sucks for job hunters, but your interviewers aren’t responsible for that and are likely suffering from it too. Bringing an entitled and judgmental attitude is not going to help you ace the interview and land the job.

I hope you’re not interviewing for a copywriter position.
Define a lot. Not sure if the term was used as a hyperbole or not.
Also, when generalizing, please make sure to provide examples to build your case or you may send the wrong msg to the reader (as some people have mentioned the current situation should have been taken into account).
Wow, this post is embarrassing on so many levels. 😅
