I have experience in change management, though from the standpoint of issue management, regulatory compliance, and remediation focused change.

Any advice on how to paint my experience in a more explicitly change mgmt oriented light, or certs that are actually meaningful to supplement experience? I’m looking to pivot, but recognize I may need to fight for some more relevant experience first especially in the current market. So trying to be strategic over the next year if I can. TIA!

Or if you want something more affordable that covers numerous change management methodologies not just ADKAR, get your CCMP through ACMP.

The language you're using sounds more like change control? Remediation, Issue Management... If you are in change control I'd say leverage your ITIL cert to navigate to projects where you'll get more strategic OCM experience. If you are in OCM, I'd start with the language you're using to position and signal your experience.

I agree with the post above - your experience sounds like change control management more than organizational change management. I don’t have a recommendation on how to paint your experience as change management, unless we are missing something from how you described it. If you want to get OCM experience I recommend looking for entry level change management specialist roles and taking some change management courses to better understand the difference. OCM is more about identifying impacts of a transformation to different stakeholder groups, such as shifts in accountability roles and responsibilities, using a new technology or tool, shifts in a process workflow, a new policy or procedure change, etc. It’s about identifying what these different stakeholder groups will need to know, think, do, or feel about the transformation to make the adoption of the future state successful and stick. It’s navigating potential points of resistance with empathy, identifying their root cause and come up with key messages that need to be communicated at the right time to the right audiences to mitigate.

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

A friend is considering deferring an offer (stem PhD) for 1 year straight out of undergrad to work in NY, either in a research institution or a biotech. She does not have any real work experience outside of her lab (3 years) and an adjacent internship. Another factor is she is just generally feeling burnt out on school after the last few years.
To what extent did you find that a year or two of work impacts prospects coming out of PhD? How might a year off from school impact her PhD work itself?

Hello All, I’m a project manager but seeking to pivot into UX Research. I do have some experience but don’t have a portfolio yet. There are very few entry-level roles and many places are only hiring “Sr UXR” with 3-5+ years of experience! Any tips on how to break into this field and/or stand out as a junior applicant?? Thanks!

Has anyone here use a resume writer before to help them rewrite their resume? I feel like trying to write about myself and be objective isn't the easiest thing. Get me in front of a hiring manager for an interview and have no problem talking about myself and my history. Getting it on paper and past the ATS is a different story.

If so, anyone you would recommend? Anything to look out for or suggest?

I'm holding an offer from MakeMyTrip and another offer from OlaElectric. Ninjacart is willing to make me an offer. But they're saying that they'd discuss the offer only after the other company that I'm interviewing with has come up with an offer first. There's been a delay from HRs of the companies in a similar way. How do I urge them to send me the offer letter without sounding pushy? I had reached out to some of the HRs myself. Would that be too awkward if I accept & back out their offer?

My company’s hiring cycle ended so I’m seeing if I can help point them in the right direction before next year. Appreciate any pointers on certs that might help too!
