Microsoft Received some feedback yesterday that I’m “Too smart for the role and they feared that I’d get bored and leave quickly. “ It’s honestly the most confused I’ve ever left a call. Does anyone know what this means? I thought it was a compliment initially but in retrospect it just doesn’t seem very genuine. Have y’all had anyone hit you with this one?

Off topic: I am stuck in a service based company for last 4 years in a shitty project. The work I do can be done by a 12th grader. Now i want to move out by learning something new & changing my domain. But the thing is I am not able to study because I am stuck in a comfort zone and learning new thing gives me bad anxiety. It feels like I will never learn & be forever stuck here. Pls help on how to come out of comfort zone, learn things and apply for the job. Tata Consultancy Infosys Wipro

Focus on another opportunity. They are habitual of keep finding better candidate.
I too had worst experience with HCL Tech. They took two technical rounds and later kept a client round. In the client round, 2 members from the client tech team and 5-6 members from offshore (hcl) team joined the meeting. It's like in total 8 members that have joined the interview call (LOL :D). Not sure if they thought that I applied for IAS post or IPS post.
They asked questions for close to 45 minutes and then, the client members have explained about the project and end of the call, they told that they really liked me and even told to reach out to their LinkedIn if something doesn't workout.
After this call, I didn't hear back from them for a week. So I've reached to the HR and got a shocking response from her- "you've only few months of experience in node.js, but we want someone who has more working exp in node.js"
I don't know what they were doing while screening my resume, while taking round1 and round2, while client round.
