Pros:
Excellent job security
Vast amount of projects
Good internal learning system
Cons:
Single digit hikes
Difficulty in switching projects
Politics depends on projects though
There is a new process for Insurance (Actuarial) being setup. My current profile is also into Actuarial.
Difficult to provide feedback without info on the team or offering you will be joining and how things are at EY. My only advice is make sure that you are taking up a job and not just quitting your existing job.
Perfect in terms of learning and work life balance. My wife is working since 5 years now and never saw her bitching about the company. Although if you are looking for good monetary benefits then it would be a disastrous move.
Pros :
Govt co like job security
Work life balance
Can pursue extra job like tutor, uber investment,
Onshore opportunity if u stay in single proj for more than 3 years
Less politics as people know minimal hikes, onshore role on rotation
Cons:
Single digit hikes, but thats now case with likes of Cogni, Accenture ( non Next Gen skill)
Regional politics, known cases of discrimination against Hindi speakers in Hyd, Kol. Pune is really good
Which profile in both companies?
what's the hike %?
Hike % is around 30%
Hike/increment every year ranges anywhere between 3-9%. It may be double in some of the business verticals such as BFSI, where the business unit is performing well.
Given year on year increases are low. How much is the expected raise one can expect while switching to TCS?
If you want to settle (means this would be your last switch) then definitely join.
If you are planning to change after some year then please do not join as you won't be able rejoin TCS
How much is TCS paying you ?
They have asked for all the documents but haven't shared the offer letter yet. Its been few days already, not sure if this is the process or something else.
