I held a salary position with my previous and recently departed. They reached out to me stating they have over paid me a couple hours because the off-boarding HR representative failed to dismiss me in their system. They said that when my final paycheck comes that I would need to write them a check for what is owed and mail it to them. What do I owe them legally? I am out of the country for a little while and honestly don’t want to go through the hassle to do this work to fix their mistake.

I was very specialized at my law firm and took a similarly specialized role in-house….but I still get requests to mark-up types of agreements that I never touched at my firm.
