Ultimately if you can’t do the job we’ll see your future post back in “Exit Opportunities”.
Ain’t that the truth! Hopefully I can stick it out long enough just for the title :)
First off, congrats on the offer. Second, how much did you BS? Do you still feel comfortable with the position?
Yeah. If you feel comfortable doing the job, go for it. If you can clearly see yourself failing save the headache. I will say though, pushing yourself and learning/growing on the job is quickest way to success in my experience. Nature of consulting. Can’t tell you how many times I show up and what I’m expected to do/deliver is not what partner sold. Haha. But you adapt, pivot and deliver. Usually you are smarter than most the people there anyways. Fake it till you make it.
Excellent advice. I feel like this is an opp to really push myself to my limits. Imposter syndrome hits me all the time though. Got a lot to think about here!
Director is not a senior position at least in Pharma. Associate director is individual role at best
Not necessary. Depends on the firm
Can you “coach” us?
What role was it? I’ve been looking to blend my sales background with consulting :(
I need one of those !
What firm
Smallish consulting firm :)
What’s the comp offer?
Not bad amigo. Go for it.
What kind of bs?
Lol. I remember I gave a high salary number to a small consulting firm after interviewing. I really wasn't interested and knew it would end the conversation... but they accepted! I was like holy sh*t!
