You only have to do it right once. Embrace the suck and move on with your career and life. It’s worth it.
Whenever I felt unmotivated while studying I just asked myself: I don’t want to do this again, do I? And that was enough motivation for me, didn’t have to do any part twice. You can do it!!!!
Real talk
So don’t study.
This method has worked for me for a while now.
That’s ok. I got motivation the last 2 weeks before the exams, which is not an ideal scenario to pass it (I only failed one of the tests, though). So, if you really want to take the CPAs and you already know that’s the only way to go to get to that place in your career, then ride the unmotivation. However, carry your book with you everywhere and when motivation comes back open it up and study. Also prioritize what you should really study and what you have a handle on. Lastly, be compassionate with yourself is not easy to spend all that time in school to then keep studying after you graduate college. Is okay to feel like you’re done with school and your brain can’t take anymore!
Thank you for understanding!
That 5k bonus was enough motivation for me.
Get it out of the way, you will appreciate it once you get promoted to senior
Just rip it off like a band aid
I do understand the importance of it. I’m trying to motivate myself but I just can’t seem to. Even if I study for it I just don’t pay full attention. I’ll write down whatever they’re saying but I just don’t seem to care enough :/
Just remember, debits = creditz
it's like you've literally read what's on my mind. I was just thinking about this. my FAR exam is on Sunday and I'm not prepared at all
Good luck!!!! I hope you do amazing
Stop slacking and get it done.
Is it your first paper? I was unmotivated to study when I first started the CPA exam journey. Motivation picked up after I passed the second paper. Once I was at the 50% junction, I felt I had to finish all 4 no matter what. Just make sure you don’t leave FAR till the very end.
Yes it is, that’s why I’m struggling to start
