Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

Your office has free coffee.
It’s about the worst card that could possibly exist. There are many no fee cards that are way better.
Definitely not the best credit card around. There are a ton of great cards that waive the fee the first year and offer 50,000 bonus points, which can be $500. If it’s this or a debit card, it’s at least getting something. Otherwise, probably not.
I was excited until I saw there was a fee.
$49 a year gets you 20 drinks + 8 curated drinks, even counting + 1 birthday drink you’re still at $1.68 per drink in the fee. Spending wise, you get a free drink or sandwich for every $500 you charge through. That’s still an couple of extra free drinks each week on the road..
There are quite a few no fee cards that will give you $150 or $200 bonus for spending $1,000 in the first three months.
Plus spending $500 and getting a $5 free drink (if that’s what your drink costs) is 1% cash back. Other no annual fee credit cards are 1.5-2.0% cash back.
If you’re not interested in playing the points game getting a no fee cash back card is your best bet. If you are interested in playing the game there’s lots more out there you can learn. For example through your corporate card you can get an annual $150 statement on the Amex plat card ($550 annual fee).
Sure sounds cool to get free drinks, but are you really saving money by getting them free? Would you have really purchased those $8 drinks otherwise? Also the free sandwich every $500... come on a subway punch card gives you a free sandwich more often. That’s like 1% benefit, which is less than many cash back cards (typically 1.5%-2% cash back. Travel rewards give you even more (see chase sapphire reserve). I get Starbucks daily and own their stock and I’ll still be honest- horrible card.
