I just finished reading an exceptional book- What My Bones Know- on healing from complex PTSD. This is the term for those who experienced neglect or abuse in childhood. complex-PTSD is not in the DSM so it can’t technically receive a diagnosis and then get coverage for therapy. However complex-PTSD often the root cause of anxiety and depression. The author is an immigrant so it’s also a powerful story for those who are first and second generation. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Any recommendations for a therapist that understands high stress/high demand professions, and whose recommendations don’t include “just turn off of your phone or try not responding to emails”? Bonus points if they understand ADHD as well.

Got the second moderna shot yesterday around 5pm est. All day, my body is in such pain, I am crying as I can’t get comfortable, and i have a fever. Took Tylenol but only helps moderately. Feels like the flu with the body pains. Grateful to get it but this feels awful rn. 37 female 🐠

Wavering between tired and happy. Finally getting my stamina back post covid. I've walked 10 miles in the past week. Pre covid I was walking between 2 and 4 miles a day. But I can tell I'm still not 100 percent. I'm so tired in the evenings. Hopefully that will fade the next couple of weeks.

27F, 2nd year associate (no ambitions of being partner) - I’m depressed, anxious, stressed and just need a break. I’m at the point where I’m willing to quit with no other options, but want to see if theirs any safer way of taking a breath of life and grinding a little longer (I have loans, I financially support my parents, etc. ).

It’s hard to come across good news about India, but must agree that they have handled coronavirus quite well. As of last week, 1.6 million tests vs 6000 in US; full travel screening. Way to go!

First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. Appreciate any advice!

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact).
