Who hired you Walmart or Apple 😝 but regardless I would ask at least 40% jump since it’s a senior position. Here is why? Industry the increment is 2-3% and bonus percentages are big if you’re on the higher side of the salary. Second if you were to stay at D for next three years your base would go up by at least 35k-50k so asking for 30-40% jump is fare I think. BTW I just made a jump for 40%

Congrats SC1! And thank you. This is really helpful.
You may also bluff since you don’t have to reveal your salary and say you are looking for x which should be on the higher side. It’s fortune 10 so I’m sure they have the budget to pay. Do some research on Glassdoor as well
It really depends on whether you are going to be part of a profit or cost center in your new role. It also varies on how niche or specialized your skills are...just because your business card says Consulting does not mean that you are some sort of super hero that will get a crazy raise.
And finally it also depends on which industry you are moving into...is it high growth + high operating margins. If so then they will pay whatever to keep that growth going.
Go big.
BCG1 how big is reasonable? 30%?
What was the outcome OP
