I just interviewed a potential AD partner and as soon as I heard they “prefer to write their own scripts” I voted No. Should I have given them a chance?

Anyone have experience waiting on an offer while having received another within 1 org? I have been interning for 5 months. My manager has been extending me as I expressed I didn’t want my current role but need the job.

She has been extremely open to assisting me in finding other roles internally. Recently, I expressed a desire to stay on the team as a “full time.” The day before I got the offer I was invited to interview for another role. I will take the other offer if extended. What now?

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). I understand life isn’t fair but is there an ethical problem with this?
