I just love when a manager loses it on people whenever things get stressful and if you don't like being the target of outright abuse then that same manager comes to the conclusion that YOU can't deal with a stressful situation.

Has anyone ever had any luck going over your store manager's head when they develop an obsession with looking specifically for YOU to dump on whenever they're stressed, regardless of how well you're doing your job?

In my experience if someone gets fixated on giving you a hard time it's pretty much impossible to go over their head. In most cases their superiors won't really care. Years ago I worked for someone who would go after me over the most petty stuff, and I learned to just shrug it off. When he realized he wasn't getting to me he pretty much was defeated.
