If it’s in your leader goals then keep expecting them to come your way.
Human Resources is everyone’s responsibility for an org - especially if you are a hiring manager.

Companies that operate as silos usually have a lot of issues. Can’t speak for everyone, but that has been my experience more than once. MC1 brings up great points on this. Even if not directly your focus, still good to know and understand.
I feel the exact same way. And the hard thing is, it's not that I don't enjoy these kinds of side projects. I actually really do. But it's getting in the way of getting my daily tasks done and that's making me fall behind and look unprofessional.
It’s great that you find it interesting, but it’s also okay to want clearer boundaries. A good way to ease out without being blunt is to frame your response around priorities, something like, “I want to make sure I’m focusing enough on my main responsibilities to deliver my best work. Can we revisit how I balance these additional tasks?” This keeps it constructive and opens dialogue without sounding confrontational.
