I know I’m not supposed to care this much about rankings… but I do. Every time I hear someone got into a higher-ranked school than mine, I start questioning everything. I’ve read all the arguments about fit, career goals, and ROI, but it’s hard not to feel like the number next to the school name somehow validates your worth. I hate that I feel this way, but it’s there. How do you actually detach your self-worth from rankings?
