Standing desk!! Has saved my lower back, also agree with yoga to get into your hips and stretch

For a temporary relief, try to alternate with cold and heat compression. That’ll relieve some pain while you work on fixing your posture

Before you do anything, it’s really important to understand the pain triggers. What causes your back pain. Most of us experience it as a consequence of our lifestyle and work (which involves sitting). If you have constant back pain (without any movement), it’s important to get it seen by a doctor. Generally, lower back pain are issues related to L4-L5, L5-S1 disc. Common issue is degenerative disc disease due to sitting. Your first priority is to understand pain triggers. If it’s severe, see a doctor. Else, but Dr Stuart McGill’s book “Back Mechanic”. It has a diagnostic.
Next step would be to take corrective action.
You could try going to a chiropractor and they can put you on a traction device. It definitely helps. Also, you should try ice and heat. Use ice in the evenings before you go to bed. It reduces inflammation. In the morning, use heat as it promotes blood flow.

Depending on pain level and severity, you can try some of the following:
1. At a minimum, you need to increase your activity. Movement is key. Walk at least 2-3 miles
2. Try McGill’s Big 3 - These are core strengthening exercises. Typically hamstrings and inner thigh muscles become weak and put pressure on the back.
3. Once you are pain free, you need to get on to a strength and conditioning program to help build core muscles and strength.
Good luck !

They’re not all bad lol.

Go to a doctor. Do not get diagnosed on Fishbowl.

I didn’t try to get diagnosed. As I said I have lower-back pain. From having an office job as most of the people here! So already been through that. Just trying if there’s anything else I haven’t tried that could work for me. So that’s generally good advice but yea :)

Teeter to hang upside down and stretch. Generic version is good, too. Helps posture, stress release. Have to build up to it and be gentle. If 15 seconds is all you can do. Do that.

Massage.

Yoga or other mobility workouts. My fave is 645 on Beachbody.

So I had terrible low back pain for 2.5 years. It was so bad that I thought I would need surgery to be pain free, but I was wrong. I found a LMT that specializes in breaking down scar tissue. Come to find out that there were other parts of my body that were carrying scar tissue causing my muscles to overcompensate and protect. I was pain free within 2-3 visits. Elite Injury Solutions in St. Pete, FL. Literally saved me.

Chiropractor and strengthening my core did wonders.

like

Supine spinal twist pose, 5-10 min on each side depending on what you can handle. This did absolute WONDERS for my lower back. I push it to 20 min each side sometimes... 🥴 (in a good way!)

Fentanyl…just kidding, really bad idea

You need to find out the cause of it. Hamstrings and hip flexors can both cause back pain if they’re really tight, so stretching can help. If it’s really bad you may need to see someone about it, so you can find the cause.

Chiropractor and a lacrosse ball that you put against a wall and then roll your back on

Why? I’ve been to one for my back a few times and it’s helped but obviously it’s not the only care I get.

Honestly yoga has helped me more.

I get lower back pain sometimes. I do all the lower back stretches to reduce the strain and hang on a pull up bar to let gravity do its job.

Is there probation period in FIS Global ? If yes how much notice need to serve in probation period in FIS Global ?

In my Offer letter nothing is mentioned about probation period , only notice period is mentioned.

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

For diet reasons, I don't drink alcohol. But I drink sodas occasionally. Like at company happy hours, etc. From a health perspective, is this kind of hypocritical? I think they are both nutritionally near 0 value. I do enjoy the taste of soda more than alcohol. But I can't help but feel like if I'm willing to drink sodas, a beer or two a week shouldn't be much different. If anything, it's lower calorie per can lol.
