EY1 any chance you can provide broad numbers for the financial benefits please?
5-10 depending on business case and having enough revenue in your book of business to become partner
It will only get longer now under the new revenue targets and how they give credit for different roles. I'm seeing more partners hoarding revenue that they otherwise would have shared with other partners, so likely will be less likely to give away to new partners. SMs should really be proving they can grow their own book rather than assume they will inherit a book.

To piggy back from the OP’s question, how much annual revenue should a SM manage before making partner?
KPMG is now $5.5M for new partners. Used to be around $3.5-4, those folks are now Senior MD in tax now.

Probably closer to 7-9 years now
6-8 is what I’ve seen lately
I would guess 7-8 is average now
8 to 9
I would put numbers around 5-7 years. Will depend as with anything. What size company, performance, skills, and just growth opportunities. Do you have to fight to get them or are they accommodating to getting you further? Market conditions, out of your control, might hinder you too.
D2 not reading the question
I would say the average is probably 7 years give or take a year.
