Any thoughts on this?

Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

Looking for some book recommendations :)
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

It felt right, we had spent a lot of time together before marriage and experienced many things. It is one of the most important decisions in your life if not the most so take your time and at some point you just have to trust your feelings. Also important to note that a good marriage is something you build together so the wedding is only the start of a beautiful journey

It’s about companionship. My wife is an absolute smokeshow but that is not why I married her (certainly not why she married me). We love each other and can see ourselves doing boring things together in the future. I think that is key. Couples that exist just between cool trips they take together are clearly not marriage material. The ones that enjoy doing mundane things in each other’s company are more on the right track.
You need to be aligned in goals for 100% of the stuff that matter. 80/20 on the next big stuff. And the rest you’ll compromise. The rest comes with time patience and being together.
This is good advice. I have been married for over 25 years. We talked about everything before we got married from where we wanted to live. What we expected of the other. How many kids. How we would handle money. Nothing was off the table to discuss. Most of the people in our circle that their marriage fell apart it was from misaligned expectations of each other.
Read the Gottman books, especially Eight Dates, and Hold Me Tight by Sue Johnson
Not at all - I read them when I was trying to figure out some argument issues five years into marriage and they were so helpful. I can only imagine how much better it would have been to read them before getting married 😂
The right person to marry is someone willing to compromise and meet you halfway in tough moments. With mutual flexibility, the relationship can grow and last.

Everyone who got married felt at that time it was the right person. But still half end up in divorce so go with what you are feeling with what is feeling right in that moment
Were together for 7 years before getting married, spent covid together in a studio apartment (: Felt if we could do that, we could probably spend our whole lives together.
Shared values and aspirations I think most important for long term
