Is a celeb ambassador at an event the type of work you want in your book? Unless you’re in PR or influencer, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Put 👏 that 👏 sh*t 👏 in 👏 your 👏 book
If the idea still would have ended the way it did without you, don’t credit yourself. BUT you gave the suggestion that made the idea what it is, so absolutely credit yourself.
If you functioned as an art director (as in, gave direction throughout the project to whoever executed the work), then yes! Put it in your book. But make sure to credit who designed and produced. People looking at your portfolio understand these things happen in teams, not isolation.
I wouldn't put it in.
There are great, award winning scripts that I wrote a joke or a line for, or wrote the platform line for, but I didn't make the TVC, so I can't claim ownership and they aren't in my book.
Did the idea change based on the celebrity? Or was it more [insert whatever celebrity here]? If the idea is based around the celebrity’s persona, and the execution would have been way different without them, then it seems fair to mention your role. Otherwise, probably not.
