I’ve only heard of international hires for Strategists in NYC if it’s an inner agency network kind of thing, but never for mid-level. From what I’ve seen these days it’s a career move reserved for Associate Director and above. Sorry mate, best of luck.

never heard anyone in HR refer to WPP guidelines or requiring approval so I think it’s the latter

Yeah if you work for a holding co, that’s your only real option. Most require 2+ years at the company and a minimum of manager level to be considered for an international move. I don’t know anyone who works in media and got a job in NYC at the strat level as an external hire. If NYC is your goal, your first step should be to get a job in Australia for one of the major us holding cos

I often find here analysts complaining about partners. Do analysts really work so closely with partners that their day to day work is affected by partner’s hours? Curious as to what work they do... even as a senior consultant majority of my communication is with manager and senior manager but not so much partner. Am I doing something wrong?
