We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange! I explain the salary is dependent on the market data for them in Canada, WHERE THEY LIVE, and you can’t compare it to the US employees and the market data down here. Overall they are both in the 75th% for total comp. for their industry. Am I wrong?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Started a new job as GC to two companies. I met my teams on-site wearing Jordans and my nicest t-shirts and I’ve been on all my calls wearing a hat with my fingernails painted (my daughters love going to get manicures together). I think I may have made a huge mistake today. My skip level director sent out an email about something and asked us for feedback. I sent back a note and provided some. One of the things I said was that our job satisfaction might be improved if we could do more of X kind of work instead of Y kind of work that we do so much of in our group. Got hired on part time for equity to do corporate strategy at a startup and that funding should hit in the Fall. Now it sounds like funding isn’t likely until we get a better following and I’ve been asked to do one reel and one blog a week (for minimal equity only) with all of my own content (photos, videos etc)

I've been almost 3 years in my previous company and never have I ever tasted any raise from them. I got transferred to different accounts and LOB it was so exhausting and finally when I decided to leave and send my resignation my Supervisor be like "you know you should be thankful of your job" To be honest the job was very stressful and supervisor at some point is somehow toxic but thankful I get to take my leave.
