Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Thank you!
Ooof, great question! I'm a bit rusty myself. All I can think of off the top of my head is profit sharing and time off.
Sign on bonus, equity are the ones that pop into my head in addition to the others mentioned.
I brought these items up early in the conversation wayyyyy before the offer letter - with the HR contact. She built in any relevant compensation offers into the offer letter so there was more than adequate coverage. I instantly accepted and did not attempt to negotiate.
Your exit. Like a prenup. Negotiate if there is an exit
Yes, this!!
Negotiate a severance clause
PTO. The salary portion of it is important but I have always tried to negotiate more PTO unless they offer unlimited PTO and in that case, I will try to negotiate a higher salary or sometimes a sign on bonus.
