I am a fan of Common Lit: https://www.commonlit.org/en
If you are struggling to find accessibility, check out graphic novels - there are a TON and many grade level books have been changed into graphics.
I like this site for lexile search - perhaps an audio book can be gleaned from this and web PDF of the book if you don't have it on site: https://hub.lexile.com/find-a-book/search
I also like NEWSELA as well: https://newsela.com/ Articles are short and relevant.

Wow Achieve 3000 is an old program! Try Education Galaxy in there you can set up what TEKS you want them to learn without them really knowing it. What they like is when you team them up and put them in the “area games” to compete against each other they love that.
Have you tried anything else?
No, that’s all we have.
What does your school have access to? I feel like a lot of times I've found really cool tools/resources but the school hasn't gone for it :(
I agree Calkins is only good for students that write and read at or close to grade level. The pace is too fast.
Plot in one lesson?
Honestly, IMO low-level kids need guided practice. Do y’all read together?
For independent practice, my go-to is Diary of a Wimpy kid (: then I’d give work they can fill in like draw and color/add details to the characters, a word bank of new vocab they had to look up while reading, and filling in a plot map with the standout events/conflict and a spot for summary vs. a their “rating” (opinion on the book).
Basically: approachable hands-on work, funny books :) but idk if your school pushes the apps only :/
