Managing attorneys in small firms - how much do you make?

I'm in South Florida. Currently a 6 year associate at a small firm (~12 attorneys, 55 staff). Making a move towards Managing Attorney position that they are considering hiring from outside the firm for. I'm going to make the case that they should promote from within and give me the position. I'm objectively a good candidate for it. Question is... what's a good salary for that position? What do you make? Thanks.

Need more info. Is a Managing Attorney the same thing as a Managing Partner? Would you still be doing legal work?

Not a partner position. This firm does not offer partnership opportunities. It would be like a manager for the attorneys. Overseeing the attorneys, assisting the attorneys with questions and issues that may arise, intervene with client issues, etc. Not sure whether the owner would expect the person in that position to still do legal work. For an idea I currently make 164k as an associate attorney. I would expect higher as a managing attorney but dont know what is reasonable to ask for.

I have strong credentials but I’m worried this small firm experience is killing my marketability to large companies.

OK folks, I'm kind of pissed. I interviewed with a dream company, made it to 6 interviews (all the way up to VP). Weeks later the recruiting manager shares they went with someone internally, no feedback. Today I see the same position being promoted. Do I pursue the same role or take this as a sign that I wasnt a good fit after all and let it go?

I have worked in business development for 5 years and quit my work late last year due to personal reasons. I'm now actively looking to get back into work and am considering Luxembourg as an option. I think my dad is in a deep depression and I don’t know how to help. I think his general “laziness” stems from that but my family’s anger toward him for not trying to find a job or contribute at all to the household has created resentment against him so it’s a vicious cycle. He doesn’t want to help himself (probably because he is depressed) and that makes people not want to help him. Any suggestions?
