I'm dealing with something similar. I came into this job to find all kinds of things wrong. I plan to report them and I'll lose my job, this is the kind of thing I'm seeing these days in the industry.
The company I currently work for is actually very good at client centered services and descalation. But they are very small and only have a radius of about 30 miles.
But I get what you mean... I worked for a previous company a while back and didn't even make it through CPI training because they were trying to tell me that if a client were to throw something, catch themselves, stop and calm down I still had to put them in the maximum force hold. They treated their clients like subordinates rather than client's.
C.a.r.s. Is so much better in comparison.
I’ve worked for 3 different care homes and experienced some form of this at all 3, this industry is absolutely terrible at providing care to these individuals and if I could I’d advise all families to pull their family out of care homes completely. The day program I work for now is amazing but I doubt I’d ever go back to working in care homes
