Mind your business
Saying something is a “slightly insensitive joke” makes it seem like you’re on the fence whether you should be offended or not lol definitely just move on
Move on
You should probably obliterate their career. Hold it over them. Nice work Cousin Greg
Move on, what seems slightly insensitive for you could be perfect normal for the audience
What is “slightly insensitive”?

Look I feel you because as an ally I usually want to speak up. But you have to know how to do so and when or it isn’t going to be well received. I’ve learned where my line is - if a friend makes an inappropriate joke, I’ll call that out. A colleague, no. The exception was a time a colleague (that is also a good friend) worded something poorly when I know that wasn’t his intent, I said something like: “Hey I know you had the best intent, but I’d probably not use that wording around the office cuz it might rub people the wrong way.” Context matters. Definitely would not say anything to someone more senior than me, and never in a conversation I’m not even a part of! Now - if it crossed the line from insensitive to straight up harassment / insulting, that’s a whole different story and should be reported up.
