I preformed some work for a company out of Boston MA. A couple of months ago. Now the company has skipped on payment and is not answering any kind of correspondence.
Any guidance on what i should do?

Send a letter warning them that you will take legal action if you don't get paid and you will report it to credit bureaus.

Are you based in MA? If not, you might be out of luck and potential legal action.

I am based out of NH. Im looking for other ways but they are not responsive.

If they have a physical office, go there

Who are you contacting? Someone in A/P? Try contacting one of the officers.

I assume you have a contract? What do the terms state?

What type of work did you do? Did you have to report to someone on a daily basis? If so, you could potentially have an employee misclassification issue which will give you more rights on payment.

My contract was as a recruiter they hired me to help them fill some positions. I would attend weekly meetings with the company and weekly team meetings for the company as well.

I have been waiting/looking for this exact bowl. It’s graduation season. Get ready for the “I’m proud to announce” LinkedIn posts that none of us give a piss about. May we post and roast mercilessly.

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.

This one is going to make some of y’all mad, but it’s so annoyingly unnecessary. The most irritating part is “is it a shirt day or a skirt day”…. Like women don’t wear shirts with skirts and men don’t wear shirts with pants. Shirts and skirts are not mutually exclusive. I’ll just leave this here.

Is it just me or do 90% of the jobs being laid off by big tech sound made up? Many job descriptions with multiple bullet points that all kinda revolve around the same idea. One of my buddies works for a big IT company and literally just sits on meetings all day. No one really contributing to anything other than agreeing to whatever the speaker is saying. Are these kind of jobs finally being exposed? Six figure employees getting paid to sit and bounce ideas off each other?
