I quit my most recent position due to my manager making a huge mistake and then instead of admitting it, they threw me under the bus and then reported me to HR for their mistake. I’ve been asked in a few interviews why I left my last position, is saying my last company had a lack of professionalism a good response? I would like to be transparent but also do not want to seem like a disgruntled potential employee.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments.
