Tested positive for COVID yesterday.

10 full days would mean isolation until 12/31.

Am I being selfish for wanting to ask the host if I can still go to the party if I test negative that day?

One of my doormen passed away early this morning from covid- complete lung failure. It’s tipped me over the edge and I’m a blubbering wreck. He had a 1 and 5 year old and he was so lovely. RIP 🥀

I Have more sparetime now (Thanks Covid!) and I wanted to invest it in data skills related courses. I found one on data camp called "Data Skills for Business" and then was planning to continue with their "data analyst with Python" career track.
What do you think of those two courses?
Sinon, do you have any suggestions for better alternatives?
Thanks!

Is it possible to sell and transfer my bike to the buyer without physical RC? I have a copy from DigiLocker.

Background story: it was a newly purchased second hand bike, before receiving the RC COVID started and I returned to my hometown. So never received it and I’m sure the RTO is not going to handover me the RC easily.

Caught Covid a few days after successful IVF even after being extremely careful. I had fever for 18 hours and then it went away. Now this wait to know if everything is fine with embryo is brutal. Back before Covid, I represented the parents in a will contest case against the wife of the deceased. It was a sham marriage but you know how people like to fight over minute stuff. The deceased had been cremated and the parties were fighting over who was entitled to the ashes. I had the box of ashes in my office. It was getting ridiculous. I found a big urn with mini urns and ordered it. Scooped them out a couple spoons and nipped it in the bud. I still have leftover ashes for refills.

Does anyone have advice on how to keep track of cases? I am 6 months in at a small med/insurance firm. When we are assigned cases by clients, it's my job to request and organize the medical records. We're starting to get dozens of COVID cases, in addition to regular litigation cases, and I am SO OVERWHELMED. I'm currently in a "paralysis-over analysis" stage and don't know how to get myself out of it. I feel like I'm drowning, help.

Due to inflation at its highest rate since 1982, I feel that I am not being paid enough. I can’t afford things on a day to day basis and I think I can make the same amount of money in gig jobs for cash downtown. During the Trump administration I was doing just fine financially - now it costs me so much just to get to work. Is it appropriate to have an inflation conversation with my bosses or should I just pick up shifts as a bartender at night - I need to make about 600 more a month to make it.

I have a problem, I over explain myself and when I do it with my women colleagues I think they get the impression that I'm mansplaining to them. I started the habit because I ran into an issue where a lot of people often weren't sure what I was talking about and I'm trying to be nice and explain it up front so things are absolutely clear. Is there a way to do this where I don't run the risk of offending my colleagues? I certainly don't mean to imply incompetence.

HELP! I’ve been contacted by a small private security firm who wants me to be their “on call” counsel. They describe it as a lot of contract review, drafting NDAs, etc. but also being there if/when they need to license a vehicle, defend civil suit, etc. It’s overwhelming but sounds like a really great opportunity. I have enough background to be comfortable with contracts and litigation, but don’t want to get myself into a mess. Has anybody else ever had a job like this?

Any attorneys here with ADHD/ADD? I was recently diagnosed ADHD, but it was clear I had it my whole life. It did not materially hinder me until law school, and now it’s pretty debilitating as an associate. Since I have been medicated, some executive functioning has been better but it’s really hit or miss. Anyone have any success stories? Would in-house be easier to manage as there is less executive functioning (ie no timekeeping and billing)? I appreciate any response in advance. Thanks!
