Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

There’s plenty of jobs. You might not get your dream one right away but there will always be enough to support a decent way of living
You can always get a job if you are skilled. The thing is in adverse market conditions you can't demand salary. Employers got upper hand right now.
Word. (I actually wanted to DM you, but you have chats disabled.)
It's challenging but you have to try. Being in school means you'll have some career services support network. Leverage that. You'll have a better shot.

If you’ve got the right skills then not fucked at all. Good luck!

What kind of experience and location?
It’s possible, just don’t give up. I’m on a visa and graduated in Dec. took me 8 months to land a full time. Actually had secured something in Feb but when I asked for $10k more politely, they withdrew the offer (I was shocked… but I guess it’s an employers market right now)
If your job is not related to your school work, you should do an internship after graduation. It's a chance for employers to test you out.
