I received a salary increase of 10k because I’ve been promoted to a Sr. Business analyst position. However, I’ve been looking at the market average for the position, and the offer sits very low compared to it (they offer 71K) I’ve been in the company for a year. It is greedy to ask for more? I have a PMP, business analytics certificate from Harvard school online, bachelors degree and 5 YOE. Company is mid size, and we are federal government consultants.

Did I hear this right? Pwc trust solutions call will not mention anything about mid year adjustments? All they talked about was early promotions and some bs rtr bonuses

Got pulled from litigating MVAs to help this solo we hired start a med Mal/nursing home practice. 1 year in and it looks like I’m two steps backwards in terms of getting paid because we’re a year or more out from a lot of the fees hitting. I got an offer at Nokia, and my new manager said that she wanted to put me in the higher salary bracket however the HR insisted that we lowered the range. That caused me to receive a much lower salary than expected. Should I renegotiate even when my manager said that she tried giving me more. Does HR really play that big of a role in this?

Got an offer for SE III at a large tech company. Product I'd be working on interests me and I think I could grow more than in my current role.

Currently I make 180k base and have ISO/RSUs @ startup (60k/yr worth on paper, but won't be worth anything for a few years, if at all).

The offer is:
Base: $166,500
Target Bonus: 10% ($16,650)
RSU: 120k total (30k/yr)

Thoughts on offer? Should I counter?
