Could anyone share some insight on compensation for manager roles in financial reporting and/or technical accounting? Curious to see what people have jumped for when they left PA for these types of jobs.
End goal in PE career? Let’s say you make it to MD at UMM shop. How is comp compared to let’s say F500 C-suite? I’d imagine both to be 10 - 30M, but a cushier rise in F500. Am I wrong? Just trying to figure out this giant rush by so many colleagues to the buy-side
Is there anyone at Dropbox who is willing to give me a referral for a software engineer internship position next summer (2022)? Thanks in advance!
Former Senior Manager in Advisory here - does anyone feel like it’s a steep wall trying to break into tech industry for any role that has a manager title (e.g., Manager, XYZ Function)? I exited as a Senior Program Manager (IC role), I could absolutely not find anyone in industry willing to trust me managing people. Has anyone felt the same? What’s the reason for this wall? I’ve managed tons of teams and managed their career dev while at Big 4...what am I not seeing that I should see?
I am currently a senior consultant at Accenture. Should I accept a position at MBB for an analyst position? Pay is very similar but it would be a downgrade in the role, but however it is MBB.
Considering MBB offers here. Background = ~2YOE at tier 2 (think LEK/EYP/S&). Mck role is a Junior Associate position with the highest salary offer, BCG and Bain offering an experienced AC equivalent position (with a potentially faster promotion track to SAC etc). I've heard and seen that McK experienced hires often do worse on average than BCG/Bain esp at junior levels and wanted to get some thoughts on how I should make my decision. Thank you!
Have any US 🐠 gone abroad for their MBA? Looking at LBS / HEC. Pros, cons? Not looking to exit into MBB, FAANG.
What is the salary package that should be expected as a salesforce(SFMC) developer with 2yrs of experience at deloitte with exceptional skillset?
Anyone works for IBM and wanna share comp insights ? What’s top salary range and perks for someone in band 10 @ IBM in the Bay Area ? I’m being hired as an AWS Delivery lead architect - 15 YOE in IT
Isn’t the new Deloitte GPS comp model going to piss off high performers and make them leave and make low performers happy and encourage them to stay?
From a compensation perspective - who makes more money? Investment Bankers, FAANG product managers, or MBB consultants? Over time, who is most likely to make more money?
Been lurking around salaries/compensation for the past few days, and I have to ask. What the flippity f**k is a solutions architect?
Would anyone at Droga be willing to connect? Either over zoom or coffee? I’ve trying to plan my next move and have always wanted to work there. Figured I’d give this a shot. Hard working mid level writer who started off as an account person. Understand there might not be openings, but would love to learn more about what it’s like. Thank you!
Need some advice on a role, PE ops role (Associate so it’s a title lower) with $150k base, 50-75% bonus and 1% carry in the two funds ($900M-$1bn each). Currently making $165k but much smaller bonus so total comp would be around the same (assuming 50% bonus). Is this a good opportunity? Unsure how much to expect from this sort of role and how to value the carry
What’s a decent strategist salary in Toronto?
I know that there’s a lot of salary info for the bigger markets (LA, NYC, Chicago), but can anyone share salary details for Senior Account roles in the Midwest (Cleveland, Cincinnati, or Columbus OH)?
Anyone willing to provide a Consulting referral at Deloitte India management consulting? 9+ years of work ex in Industry. Top tier MBA. Aiming for a Manager / Sr. Manager role.
How common/acceptable is it to leave for a new job mid-case? I have an offer I’m super excited about but was staffed to a new (and fairly long) project around a month ago. I don’t want to throw my team under the bus or burn any bridges, but I also realize that I’m easily replaceable. ( I only have two YOE, so lots of number crunching and slide making that any analyst could jump in and do)
For those of you who are in-house, how did you get comfortable with needing to be more of a generalist? I know some in-house roles, especially at large companies, are specialized. However, even then it just seems like you’re expected to know about so many different areas (with far less support than at a firm). I’m tired of billable hours, but I really love (& feel more comfortable) being a specialist.

What are some examples of good questions to ask at the end of a PM interview? -for a creative agency
I have a controversial observation: Facebook seems to be using recruitment process managers to get diversity hires. I've looked at all the RPM hires over the past few years and every one of them seems to be a woman, most commonly a woman of color. I'm all for diversity, but this feels out of balance. Am I wrong?
Promotion effective two weeks from now on 7/1, too early to change your job title on LinkedIn?
Just received cousin's invite to her wedding and it's on a Sunday. It's not necessarily a destination wedding but is in a city that neither she nor her family, nor her partner's family lives, so everybody has to fly + get hotels. I'm annoyed because I think it's a but disrespectful to your guests to make them all travel and do it on a Sunday so people have to take time off work Monday in order to attend. I know I don't have to attend, but shouldn't it be convenient for guests?
You know what really grinds my gears? When the client inserts some incongruous slides in between your perfect slides, disrupting the optimized flow that you had spent hours working trying to attain.
