You can only control you, not those around you. If you're not happy with your work environment, you should try to shop around for a better fit. We don't have all the context to really offer advice, but good luck.
Thank you for your perspective. I understand that we can't control others, but I believe it's important to call out patterns of unfair treatment, especially when they affect professional growth and contribute to a toxic environment. Speaking up isn't just about my experience, it's about holding leadership accountable and hoping it drives positive change for others as well. I appreciate your well wishes and I am exploring my options. That said, sharing this feedback is part of my process to reflect on what kind of work environment I value and deserve. I guess, I am just not used to the type of culture at my job, and I have started looking for work elsewhere. Thank you, again!
Talk to audit department head.
They're probably offended that you refer to them as Mormons and not Latter Day Saints haha
That would be clear sign to be strategically looking for a new position with a firm the WILL put you on jobs you want to be on and help you get the experience you want… but also sounds like you have kids who need you at home so maybe youre not being realistic about the hours those larger jobs entail??
