I recently resigned a position that I had been at for 10 weeks. Very toxic! When hired, HR had me sign a paper that when I resign and don't work the full 2 weeks, that final paycheck would be paid out at minimum wage. I live in Michigan. Quit instead of waiting to be fired. Is this legal?
Also, their staffing model was mandating, sometimes at the very last minute (like walking out the door last minute. Someone told me mandating is illegal as well but I don't know

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though.
