I see a lot of posts about how hard it is to get hired, but I’ve had the opposite experience. Since January, recruiters from almost all the major firms have been hitting me up constantly, like they're desperate for people. Is it possible that the issues with getting hired are more about specific qualifications or something like that?

Yes, it's largely about specific qualifications, practice area, class year, and experiences😊There's a job opening I'd like to share too, Equinox cruise ship is currently in need of 14 workers. They pay upto $7k per 3 weeks, I believe they're more in search of Remote Merchandise staffs, it's about keeping records of sales remotely. is anyone in for it?

I don’t think it has to do with specific qualifications. Certainly it has to do with the fact that they don’t hire the person who is qualified to do the job. Most job postings already have an owner. They just post the job to interview people without the intention of hiring them. The reality is that no matter how good you are at a job and how many qualifications you have it will be immensely hard to get a job at this moment.

Please send those recruiters to me. Thanks.

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

I got hired straight out from college 5 years ago from a small CPA firm and have worked in Tax ever since. Lately, I feel like this is not what I'm actually into. What else I can do with my Accounting degree?

My passion is Real Estate and Interior Design, love Managerial Accounting, I can sit for hours analyzing data, I also have a degree in Supply Chain Management.

My passion cannot feed my family but I've been burned out so much after years in Tax. 😞
