Yah, only if he was as happy as you said it. Anyways, not really. And it does matter to me as am a part of the organization. But no point as you can't figure out how it matters.

Exactly my point. That's why I posted. I know B2 people paid like 16 LPA lol. So as B3. In my team someone paid 8lpa, someone 30lps. Same work, but yes he has more experience, but yes doing the same work. No pay parity. I am not willing or trying to shit talk about it, as it is a similar forum so put it, so that other can also know.
Yes there is no such salary standardization within the organisation. Folks who are there for longer periods, are paid very less.
If at all they told you the truth - or told you a comfortable not so truth - just to make your feel better 😊, people would often feel happy or comfortable when they know their colleagues paid less for the same work.
I am super uncomfortable by hearing it from him just FYI 😂 and I am paid lesser than that. But yah, I get what you said.
