Until I get into any such good company... my idea is, if I am not being respected at my workplace, let me get disrespected at higher compensation.

Would you be willing to refer me to Google? Tbh, I didn't do Google specific preparation. Should I first prepare for Google and then apply? Thanks!

I totally agree with views of Googler#1. And yes, I too was hired without any referral, so definitely it works if you have enough conviction.

First, definitely mention it in Googlegeist, it does actually help change things. Also are you thinking of specifics? I personally don't expect to be a "partner" in all things, that wouldn't be sustainable, but I do feel like my opinion is valued and people try to solicit ideas and opinions from others on a lot of things.

Best part of interaction with a fellow colleague is that its always backed by specifics 🙃

I’m moving to London next week. What are the best neighborhoods in terms of safety, public transport, grocery stores, and restaurants? I’m a 30/F so being in a neighborhood where I don’t feel on edge walking by myself at night is important. My office is near Liverpool Street station. I would like to spend no more than £2,000/mo (including bills and council tax for a furnished place). Any recommendations or tips for websites and/or agents? Thank you! ☺️

Please don’t judge me. I am not doing very well mentally. I went on a date last night and got a few drinks. We kissed. After we were done, I told him that I’m going back home since I had to work. He kept insisting that I go back to his place. I kept refusing but finally I gave in and went to his place since I had to pee and I was a little buzzed. (I know this was very irresponsible of me) Once I was there, he took his shirt off and started forcing himself on me. (Cont)
