Our state doesn't have this yet, but I'll be interested to learn more once we do.

I think it’s fantastic. There will be clear boundaries, and people who would otherwise have no access to legal help will have some. Win for all.

We have this in Colorado, the first cohort just passed their exams. It’s limited to certain family law matters which is what stopped me from pursuing it…the family law part, I mean

Our state governor blocked this. 😑

This failed in Washington

Get ready to pay for insurance paralegals.

No. Just go for the gusto and become an attorney. This is wrong on so many levels.

Anyone know of any great articles or advice for building a multi-sided platform at the beginning of that platform’s life? Both strategic and tactical resources appreciated!

Additional Posts in Paralegals

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

What is the average paralegal salary in NC for a commercial real estate law office? I’ve been with a great firm for the last 9 years but am starting to wonder if I’m being compensated fairly. The company is about 30 employees (mostly attorneys) but I work primary for 4 of the attorneys.

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I recently left a large lawfirm to go in-house which came with a huge paycut that is not going to be sustainable long term, but needed a remote position to be able to move. I'd like to keep my current job part-time but get back in a lawfirm too.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

I started working for a new law firm, much larger than the firm I was working for previously. The main attorney that I work under had noticed some mistakes I was making (I am a NY paralegal who took this position with the understanding that they’d be teaching me NJ and NYC real estate). Anyways, the attorney decided to tell the HR manager about the mistakes I had been making. Rather than HR discussing with me, the manager told my dramatic coworker to tell me..how should I handle this? Very hurt!
