A culture can’t “make” you feel a certain way. How you feel about your work environment is a function of how the people around you behave and your ability to tolerate them. You can’t control what other people do, but you can absolutely control your reactions. If the people you work with are crap, then start looking for a way out and do your best to stay at arms’ length from them. Get some counseling if you need an adjective listener to help you navigate the situation, and remember that unhappy people will always try to make others unhappy too. Don’t fall for it.
