I was contacted by an agency for an HSBC role. I filled out forms and completed an assessment. Though I got no formal confirmation,HSBC HR later scheduled my interview. The technical round was intense,but I felt confident. Unfortunately, the call got disconnected during feedback due to their connectivity issues. I rejoined, but no one was there. I received no acknowledgment of the interview or followup despite trying to contact both HR and the agency. I feel completely ghosted after the process.

How do I push back on my company if they offer less than that, if I do want one of those roles? Without a pay scale, what is the best way to approach?

Hello, after doing some research I believe I’m being underpaid. About 4 months ago HR did a market analysis for my role. They bumped my salary for about $2k. I’m a mid-level Executive assistant with 6 years of experience and currently supporting 5 executives at a fortune 50 company. One C level and 4 Vice Presidents. I’m currently making $61,000 with bonus included. Based on my research I should at least be making $71,400. I have a check in with my boss tomorrow and I am asking for a raise.

I have got an offer for Manager level at a Big 4 in Consulting. People who are 3-4 years juniors at my MBA college are at Manager level and might get promoted sooner than me. Also, a couple of immediate juniors are at Senior Manager level.

Have you been in a similar situation? Is it awkard? How to handle it after joining?

PS: If you are wondering, I do not have a Big 4 or consulting experience while they have it.
