I was hired as a Senior Account Manager for sports marketing but was quickly assigned to non-sports clients (one in insurance and one in energy). My energy is spent learning industries I wasn’t hired for so I don't look foolish in client-facing situations. I was brought on for my sports expertise (I even had to create and present a sports marketing campaign during interviews), so I feel misled. Had I known the role wasn’t sports-focused, I wouldn’t have applied. Am I wrong for feeling this way?

I work with someone who is one level above me hierarchically and is an ultimate micromanager (not one agenda or recap can be without edits) and is rude about establishing that they have dominance.
